We are continuously striving to improve our productivity and contribute to research on agricultural innovations in Rwanda. Our vegetable garden is a site where we can experiment with different seed varieties to assess what can grow successfully in Rwanda and be a productive longer-term crop for the farm.
We seek to experiment with growing vegetables that can lower malnutrition levels amongst local children. This research is guided by our partnership with Plant Foods International, who advise on types of plants that can improve health and wellbeing in a community. We experiment with introducing new types of plants to Rwanda as guided by the Plant Food International Rwanda Guide, which we co-authored.
