Maize Crop

5.5 hectares of wholesome maize, a staple food for Rwandan families. Maize is transformed into Kawunga or eaten fresh on the cob. It is eaten as part of nearly every meal in Rwanda. There are continuous shortages of maize in Rwanda and the region, because of the high demand for this staple product. Local farm workers manage our crop.
